For those who want it a little more lively: You can reach Basel by bike (some guests also rave about the footpath to Basel along the meadow), by car or also very easily by public transport. You will rave about Freiburg, Strasbourg, Colmar or the Alsatian wine villages like Riquewihr for a long time.
